Learn how to tell stories with sound, how sound effects for films are made and then help make your own sounds for a short film. 

Tutor - Ali Murray

Ali Murray is an Edinburgh based sound designer and composer for film and stage, audio editor and producer, live and studio drummer. 

An alumnus of Berlinale Talents, his work includes sound design and post production sound for Oscar nominated and multi award winning documentary “Karama Has No Walls” from director Sara Ishaq, Mark Cousins’ features “Stockholm My Love” (with Neneh Cherry), “I Am Belfast”, “A Story of Children and Film” and “The Eyes Of Orson Welles” and internationally televised documentary “Finding Josephine” (Tomás Sheridan, Polifilm). He also teaches at the Edinburgh College of Art in The University of Edinburgh and New College Lanarkshire. He has also taught at Glasgow University, the Edinburgh International Film Festival and BFI Film Academies in Macau, Dundee and Glasgow.
