This practical workshop, hosted by staff and students of Edinburgh College of Art’s award-winning Animation department, will allow participants to get the fastest possible experience of bringing animation to life. Using a record player, a digital video camera and a monitor you will be creating Phonotropes, the circular form of animation developed by ECA Animation graduate Jim Lefevre. It is quick, but the results can be magical, we’ll provide all the technical equipment, all you need to do is bring something to draw with, and the willingness to use it.
This workshop is a collaboration with the ECA’s Animation department.
