Round table discussion on the digital rights of children and young people

Workshop Saturday 17th November 2018, 17:00 to 18:30

This round table discussion will focus upon the 5 digital rights of young people;

1> The Right to Remove.

2>The Right to Know.

3>The Right to Safety and Support.

4>The Right to Informed and Conscious Use.

5>The Right to Digital Literacy.

The discussion will be hosted by Alicia Pawluczuk, a Digital Media Practitioner and Researcher with an extensive experience of participatory media project design and facilitation both in Europe and South East Asia. She is the Founder of digital storytelling educational collective Associate Lecturer & PhD student at Edinburgh Napier University. 

The event is a collaboration with Document Film Festival,Scotland’s international human rights documentary film festival, a platform that promotes local and international discussion, cultural exchange and education. By screening the best of recent and historical human rights documentaries, Document is a crucial space for documentary film as an art form and social practice.
