SUMMARY:Film Access Scotland Coffee Morning – Dumfries & Galloway
DESCRIPTION:Join our second online Film Access Coffee Morning\, at 10am on 9 May 2023! \nWe are delighted to welcome Film Access practitioners Colin Tennant (Coulson & Tennant) and Emma Dove (Cample Line)\, who will share insight into their Film Access activities and the challenges working with remote and isolated communities. Amy Marletta (Upland) will also kindly contribute to the conversations about outreach. \nFollowing some short introductions\, our guests will answer questions from participants. This is a space for everyone to chat about potential collaborative activities\, build partnerships\, and discover more about Film Access networks in the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway. It will also be an opportunity to share stories and challenges from recent Film Access activities. \nPlease share this event with your local community. We want to hear from other freelancers\, youth\, arts and health organisations\, art centres\, or libraries interested in or wanting to be involved in Film Access activities in the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway. This event is open to everyone working and/or interested in the Film Access sector – we also hope to welcome back some previous participants from the other Scottish regions! \n  \nAbout Colin: \nColin Tennant is one half of the artist partnership Coulson & Tennant. Coulson & Tennant develop projects through a lens-based practice\, combining genres of documentary and fine art. Using visual storytelling\, they create artistic\, documentary and environmental work for a wide range of clients and organisations and their own personal projects. To do this\, they collaborate with many different communities and individuals and draw inspiration from historical\, creative and ecological references. \nAbout Emma: \nEmma Dove is a project coordinator at Cample Line. From their rural base\, they present a year-round programme of exhibitions\, screenings\, talks\, walks\, workshops and events\, sharing the work of contemporary artists\, filmmakers and writers worldwide with their local communities and beyond. \nSince established in late 2016\, they have developed an ambitious public programme and through their public activity they have been able to reach and engage wide-ranging audiences and participants.
