DESCRIPTION:What can the film industry do to become greener? How can emerging filmmakers make environmental films and reach a wide audience? What can we learn from the past? \nCome and listen to a range of voices and experiences working towards a more sustainable future in Scotland. Hear from Dr Emily Munro\, director of Living Proof and curator at National Library of Scotland’s Moving Image Archive; Adam Williamson\, lead programmer of Edinburgh Green Film Festival; and artist and filmmaker Geraldine Heaney currently working as a Creative Community Worker in Aberdeen as part of Creative Scotland’s Culture Collective Programme. \nThe panel discussion will take place at GMAC\, Glasgow\, from 2 to 3pm on Sunday 28th November. \nPlease note this event is by invitation only.

DESCRIPTION:How can film programming incite discussions around climate change and sustainability? What opportunities are there for young people to work in sustainable film exhibition and TV? How are TV and the media responding to the climate crisis? \nCome and listen to a range of voices and experiences working towards a more sustainable future in Scotland’s film industry. Hear from Zoë Conroy\, who recently reported from COP26 through Scottish Youth Film Foundation’s COP TV initiative; Mark Hope\, co-founder of Aberdeenshire’s leading multi-arts venue The Barn; Jeffrey Rogers\, Climate Reality leader and an active member of Aberdeen Climate Action and Deeside Climate Action Network; and Finlay van der Vossen\, a Film student who set up Edinburgh Green Film Festival. \nThe panel discussion will take place at Kino Bar\, Belmont Filmhouse\, Aberdeen\, from 3:30 to 4:30pm on Friday the 26th of November. \nPlease note this event is by invitation only. \nWe would like to thank EIFF Youth\, the youth programme of the Edinburgh International Film Festival\, for supporting these events.
