GMAC Film are delivering the BFI Film Academy in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
This year’s BFI Film Academy theme is The Language of Film.
If you’re interested in watching, discussing and making film and want to pursue a career in the film and television industry, then the BFI Film Academy is the place to start.
The course will run for 14 weeks and we will discuss film theory, gain practical skills, introduce you to industry professionals and make a short film. This is an accredited course where you will gain an NCFE qualification.
After completion of the course you will be eligible to apply to the National Film and Television School BFI Easter Academy and a whole host of craft residential opportunities only open to BFI Alumni.
How do I apply?
The BFI Film Academy will run every Saturday from late September to the end of January.

You must be 16 to 19 years old on the 28th September and cannot currently be at University.
We will be holding an Open Day on August 21st at 5:30pm where you can hear from our Alumni, ask any questions and get support with your application form. Keep an eye on our social media and if you have any questions, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
