With this film I wanted to help explain the huge scale of deforestation caused by humans in a way that would help people look at the problem differently. I was interested in the relationship of the film’s aspect ratio and the decline of the world’s forest coverage and I used that relationship to explain the loss in a visual way with changing aspect ratios to reflect the forest changes.
