“Overconsumption” is a film showing a character eating portions of meat at a fast pace, to satisfy his hunger. Τhe purpose of the film is to raise awareness of meat overconsumption. By consuming “moderately”, and including more plant-based foods in our diet, we would help to delay or even prevent climate change.
Drawing to the statement made by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report “reducing meat consumption is a climate change adaptation measure because it reduces pressure on land and water and thus our vulnerability to climate change and inputs limitations”. As the world’s population grows, meat production is growing exponentially. An example of this huge production is the number of chickens slaughtered each year reaching 9 billion and cows reaching 29 million.
