Film Access Workshop: Outreach & Engagement

In this Workshop we will look closely at current outreach and engagement strategies of Film Access Scotland members and associates for their projects. Through case studies and discussion groups, the session will help Film Access practitioners identify the challenges in outreach and engagement, while offering examples of activities and strategies that have proven to work across the Film Access Sector.
The case studies presented by Katie Paterson (shmu), Felix Gilfedder (Mobile Film School and Solar Bear) and Alasdair Satchel (Screen Argyll and Freelancer), will look at different ways to deliver film activities and how the current environment we live in will shape the future of outreach and delivery.

The Workshops will be sector-specific, constructed around the training needs of Film Access practitioners, offering the opportunity to share good practice and knowledge across the Sector. We have designed the Workshops to be participatory, practical and an opportunity for our members and associates to meet and network.
Further Workshops in the Series will be announced in 2023. We plan to deliver three Workshops: September 2023, December 2023 and March 2024.
