Panel discussion – Exploring a sustainable future for the TV & Film industry (Aberdeen)
November 26, 2021 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
How can film programming incite discussions around climate change and sustainability? What opportunities are there for young people to work in sustainable film exhibition and TV? How are TV and the media responding to the climate crisis?
Come and listen to a range of voices and experiences working towards a more sustainable future in Scotland’s film industry. Hear from Zoë Conroy, who recently reported from COP26 through Scottish Youth Film Foundation’s COP TV initiative; Mark Hope, co-founder of Aberdeenshire’s leading multi-arts venue The Barn; Jeffrey Rogers, Climate Reality leader and an active member of Aberdeen Climate Action and Deeside Climate Action Network; and Finlay van der Vossen, a Film student who set up Edinburgh Green Film Festival.
The panel discussion will take place at Kino Bar, Belmont Filmhouse, Aberdeen, from 3:30 to 4:30pm on Friday the 26th of November.
Please note this event is by invitation only.
